Description
The Town of Greenville is soliciting bids for Contract No. 1, General Construction, for a new salt storage facility at 1537 Route 6, Port Jervis, New York. The lump-sum scope includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for site grading, construction and erection of an approximately 80-by-104-foot salt storage structure, foundations, wood framing or an approved alternate timber-framed structure, roofing and siding, restoration, erosion and sediment control, and related site improvements shown in the contract documents. The owner will perform or furnish certain site work and utilities identified in the drawings, including rough grading, portions of paving, drainage, water service, electrical work, and other improvements. The bid must include the prescribed bid form, a five-percent bid security, the required certifications, the bidder's New York State Department of Labor registration certificate, and the required MWBE participation documentation. The project has a 30 percent MWBE participation goal and is partially funded by a $500,000 New York State Environmental Conservation grant. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, and other post-award documentation. Substantial completion is required by August 1, 2027, with final completion by September 1, 2027.
