Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a small-business contractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, disposal, and incidental work required to completely remove and replace the roof on an approximately 840-square-foot classroom trailer at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The revised Statement of Work requires removal of existing shingles, underlayment, flashing, trim, fasteners, and related components; installation of 30-year architectural shingles, underlayment, drip edge, flashing, trim, ventilation, and fasteners; and a complete, watertight, code-compliant roof assembly. The contractor must protect adjacent facilities and utilities, maintain a safe and orderly work area, lawfully dispose of roofing waste, and provide required product data, warranties, inspections, and closeout documentation. The amendment incorporates the revised Statement of Work and Q&A. The roof is approximately 14 by 60 feet with a 3:12 pitch; one existing roofing layer must be removed to the decking, and concealed decking damage is handled through contract modification rather than an allowance. The solicitation requires a manufacturer’s no-dollar-limit materials and workmanship warranty of at least five years, a one-year contractor installation warranty, and a minimum five-year fungus-resistance warranty. Work is to be performed during the 14-calendar-day period from September 28, 2026, through October 12, 2026, with a firm-fixed-price offer due September 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
