Description
The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a solicitation for services at Theodore Roosevelt National Park-South Unit in Medora, North Dakota. The work includes restriping park roads, installing four asphalt speed humps at two separate locations, and an option to apply crack sealant along approximately 28.5 miles of two-lane public park road. All pavement surfaces within the South Unit, excluding mile markers 6.5-12.5, are included. Pavement markings will include double solid yellow center lines, white fog lines, yellow and/or white dashed passing zone markings, and ADA parking markings (blue and white). All pavement striping shall be applied at a thickness of 15 mils (wet) and 8 mils (dry). The contractor will be responsible for all temporary traffic control, including flaggers and pilot vehicles, temporary road work signage, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and all necessary expertise to complete the work. Excluded from this scope are the Visitor Center parking lot and staff parking areas located at 201 East River Road, Medora, North Dakota. The period of performance is 45 calendar days, anticipated to begin in August 2026 and be completed prior to September 30, 2026.
