Description
The City is soliciting bids for two utility-body upfits for electric distribution maintenance trucks. The scope includes furnishing and installing 108-inch fiberglass utility bodies and extensive specified equipment, including liftgates, ladder racks, storage compartments and baskets, lighting, an inverter and batteries, running boards, wiring, and other truck accessories. The chassis themselves are not part of this bid; the City will provide the chassis for upfitting. The bidder must complete the provided specifications and bid form, identify any deviations and proposed subcontractor work, and provide manufacturer specifications or supporting data for the materials offered. The work also includes a pre-build meeting, a pre-delivery inspection at the upfitter’s shop, delivery to the City’s Fleet Services facility, and a minimum 12-month warranty on materials and workmanship.
