Description
Clark Public Utilities is seeking bids for the purchase of Direct-Embedded Aluminum Streetlight Poles. The poles are specified to be direct-embedded, tapered, and painted with a black powder coat. They must accommodate a 20-foot luminaire mounting height above ground and a 5-foot burial depth. The poles require a gooseneck decorative arm and a finial or cap. Specifications are based on ANSI C136.45 and C136.21 standards, with deviations noted as specific requirements for Clark Public Utilities. The poles will be installed in residential subdivisions with varying soil conditions and environmental factors, including a temperature range of -10 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and wind velocities up to 100 mph. The required strength for the poles is to withstand 550 pounds of top load with no more than 5% deflection at full wind loading. Shipping instructions require poles to be packaged for forklift unloading and crated in tens. The contract period is for twenty-four (24) months from the date of award. Pricing must be firm for the first twelve months, with an option for escalation/de-escalation in the second twelve-month period based on verifiable indices. Estimated annual purchase quantity is 200 units per year.
