Description
The Bureau of Land Management is soliciting quotes for the reconstruction of approximately 4.5 miles of four-wire fence damaged by the Adobe Fire in the Elko District, Nevada. The work includes removing and disposing of burned or damaged fence materials, installing new barbed and smooth wire, replacing T-posts and corner, end, and stress panels, and repairing gates. The contractor must follow detailed material and installation specifications, submit weekly progress reports, log repairs using GPS, and comply with fire restrictions and weed-prevention measures. The contract is a firm-fixed-price construction contract with a performance period of 220 days after notice to proceed. The amendment adds Q&A and an updated installation drawing. It confirms that Schedule 40 pipe is required and substitutions are not allowed, bar stock must be used to attach brace rails to posts, and a Nevada state contractor's license is not required for this federal work.
