Description
The City of Santa Monica is seeking a qualified consultant to provide Cal/OSHA-compliant safety training for approximately 2,000 municipal employees across varied operations. The scope includes approximately 100 general one-hour training sessions and 25 advanced or specialized sessions annually, plus additional sessions as directed. Topics include fall protection, HAZWOPER, confined space, CPR/AED/first aid, respiratory silica, asbestos, electrical safety, excavation, traffic control, and other workplace safety subjects. The consultant must develop annual training schedules, coordinate and deliver sessions on City premises, provide course materials and certification paperwork, document attendance, and support safety-program development, job safety analyses, job hazard assessments, standard operating procedures, and related technical consulting. Firms must have at least five years of experience providing Cal/OSHA-related training to large, diverse employers and must submit qualifications, training-material examples, key personnel information, references, a work plan, value-added capabilities, and a completed cost proposal. The contract term is five years.
