Description
The City of Gautier, Mississippi is soliciting bids for the General Construction of the Historic Schoolhouse Renovation, Phase 2. This phase of work will focus on weatherproofing the exterior structure, securing all entrances, and applying a fresh coat of paint to the exterior. The scope includes selective demolition, replacement of all doors and windows, and necessary repairs to the exterior structures to facilitate lead paint remediation and exterior painting. The goal is to show community progress on the schoolhouse and indicate that additional phases are forthcoming. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM on June 25, 2026, and opened in the City Council's Meeting Room at Gautier City Hall, 3330 Highway 90, Gautier, MS 39553. Envelopes must be sealed, addressed to Leoqueita Reddix, Purchasing Agent, and designated as bids for 'Historic Schoolhouse Renovations, Phase 2'. Bidders must include their name, mailing address, bid item name, and Certificate of Responsibility Number on the face of the sealed envelope. Out-of-state bidders must have a similar certificate from another state that recognizes certificates issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors prior to submitting a bid. Bidders must also include a Standard Questionnaire, Financial Statement, and other documents as required by Mississippi Law. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid is required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Payment Bond. A non-collusion affidavit will also be required.
