Description
The City of Bloomington, Minnesota is seeking bids for the 2024-110 Normandale Blvd PMP Trail & Sidewalk Improvement Project. This project involves significant civil engineering and construction work, including approximately 17,000 cubic yards of common excavation, 4,400 tons of bituminous plant mixture, and 3,500 cubic yards of Class 5 aggregate base. The project also requires the installation of approximately 4,700 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 68,000 square feet of concrete walk, and 26,000 square feet of prefabricated modular block wall, along with 11,000 square feet of sheet pile wall. Additionally, the project includes the installation of approximately 400 linear feet of storm sewer ranging from 12 to 30 inches in diameter, 1,600 linear feet of pavement markings, and 32,000 square yards of seeding/sodding. The scope also includes two revised signal systems. Bidders must adhere to predetermined minimum wage rates as per the Work Hours Act of 1962. The Minnesota Department of Transportation emphasizes equal employment opportunity and requires compliance certificates from bidders with more than 40 full-time employees in any state during the previous 12 months.
