Description
This solicitation seeks a contractor to supply and install a fully operational head-end unit, including all necessary equipment, labor, and transportation, to enable television service distribution across the entire base. The head-end unit will utilize the existing Blonder Tongue HDE-8C-QAM for enhanced modulation capabilities, ensuring compatibility with legacy television receivers. The contractor must provide the channel lineup to the MS CRTC Communications Office, who retains sole discretion over substitutions. The service must guarantee 24/7 availability to the base communications section's television demarcation point, with the government responsible for signal maintenance beyond that point. Integration of local over-the-air channels as a failover mechanism is also required in case of primary service provider outages.
