Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Geological Survey, is seeking a contractor to perform scientific sediment sonic core drilling and traditional diamond core drilling throughout Pennsylvania. The work includes drilling to depths of at least 200 feet below graded surface, recovering intact sediment and bedrock cores, hauling and managing water, mobilizing and remobilizing equipment and personnel, decommissioning and grouting boreholes, restoring drill sites, and submitting relevant records. The contractor must be capable of sonic and diamond coring, dry drilling in sediment, achieving specified core-recovery targets, working in off-road and remote conditions, and performing all work without subcontracting. The initial contract term runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with up to four additional annual renewals. Bids are awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the lowest total sum.
