The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District is seeking a contractor to perform maintenance dredging in the upper half of the Wicomico River to an authorized depth of 14 feet. The work includes use of a hydraulic dredge and pipeline to remove approximately 250,000 cubic yards of silts, sand, clays, mixed shell, gravel, and other materials. Dredged material will be transported and placed at the existing upland Sharps Point placement site. The scope also includes minor construction of two weir boxes at the placement site before dredging operations begin. The estimated construction magnitude is $4,000,000 to $8,000,000, with an approximately 120-calendar-day construction duration beginning at the Notice to Proceed.
