Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price purchase order for construction services to replace the water system at the Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. Base work includes mobilization, utility locating, erosion control, construction signage and barricades, tracer wire, approximately 620 linear feet of new 6-inch PVC C-900 waterline, eight 2- to 4-inch building water-service replacements, turf and pavement restoration, two fire hydrants, six 6-inch gate valves, and one blow-off assembly. Optional work includes investigation and restoration of a wet area, up to 40 additional linear feet of 6-inch waterline, and a water-service replacement in that area. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, utility locating, excavation, backfill, disinfection, pressure and leakage testing, site restoration, safety controls, and coordination around occupied buildings. Proposals must include a technical approach and project schedule, demonstrated prior experience with at least three recent and relevant projects completed within the past five years, and a completed price schedule. The award will use lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation, with one purchase order anticipated. Performance must begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed.
