Fort Bend County seeks qualifications from a design-build firm serving as both architect/engineer and general contractor for a vehicle maintenance upfitting building. The scope includes designing, permitting, and constructing a 50-by-100-foot pre-engineered metal building on an existing site, with an open work area, office, restroom, parts-storage shelving, and site utility connections. The contractor must verify field conditions and develop the design, specifications, and cost estimate within the established estimated project budget of $520,000. The qualification submission is evaluated on project understanding, firm and staff experience, financial stability, and the firm’s management plan. Respondents must provide at least three similar completed projects from the past ten years for both firm and staff experience, along with resumes for the assigned project manager and superintendent. The RFQ also requires current proof of insurance and specified vendor forms. Shortlisted firms may be asked for additional information and invited to interview. Performance and payment bonds are required after award when the stated contract-value thresholds are met.
