Description
Charleston County is seeking a registered pharmacy to provide prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, pharmaceutical supplies, medication-order filling, and delivery for the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) and its patients. Deliveries must be available as needed within eight hours of request, 24 hours per day. The scope includes unit-dose blister packaging, medication carts, required delivery equipment, and a broad formulary covering vitamins, antibiotics, analgesics, psychotherapeutics, controlled substances, HIV medications, injectables, topical preparations, and medication-administration supplies. The contractor must provide a licensed consultant pharmacist for monthly quality-assurance inspections of the medication room, formulary stock, medication carts, and emergency drugs; assist with facility accreditation; support development and revision of pharmaceutical, medication, wound-management, and infection-control policies; and participate in quality-assurance activities. The contract term is one year, with options to extend annually for four additional one-year periods. Bidders must submit the furnished bid forms, a notarized Non-Collusion Oath, required certifications, applicable pharmacy licensing documentation, and other required forms through the County's Procurement Portal.
