Description
Defence Construction Canada is requesting proposals from design-build teams to design and construct passenger and cargo processing and handling infrastructure for the Strategic Tanker Transport Capability Main Operating Base-East at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, using a modified design-build approach. The scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil or municipal engineering, sustainable design, building information modeling, cargo-handling and passenger-processing expertise, project management, commissioning, industrial security, Indigenous relations, and construction supervision. The rough-order-of-magnitude project cost is estimated at $228 million, and the estimated contract period is 31 months. The selected contractor must hold a valid Secret Facility Security Clearance issued through the Contract Security Program. Proposals must be submitted through the MERX Electronic Bidding System. The closing date is November 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. A non-mandatory site visit was scheduled for September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local time.
