Description
The National Human Genome Research Institute, within the National Institutes of Health, is soliciting applications for a GREGoRi Technology Integration Center under a U01 cooperative agreement. The selected recipient will develop a structured, multidimensional multi-omic dataset from individuals with rare genetic diseases and appropriate controls, including whole-genome DNA sequencing, DNA methylation signatures, chromatin accessibility profiling, transcriptome profiling, and proteomic and/or metabolomic data. The Center must have the capacity to incorporate emerging molecular technologies and generate data across enrolled participants rather than using a case-by-case approach. The recipient will also develop methods, standards, and best practices for applying large-scale molecular technologies to rare-disease gene discovery and diagnosis; collaborate with the GREGoRi consortium and Data Coordination and Outreach Center; harmonize and share clinical, phenotypic, molecular, and metadata through AnVIL and other appropriate repositories; and participate in consortium governance, meetings, working groups, reporting, and external research collaborations. One award is anticipated, with up to $3 million in total FY 2027 funding, a maximum project period of five years, and a direct-cost limit of $2.25 million per project year. Applications may propose clinical trials, but clinical trials are not required.
