Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Maintenance, is soliciting a master agreement for inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of Valtir Vulcan barrier gate systems. Work includes inspecting gates for impact or physical damage, clearing debris from travel paths, lubricating and cycling gate components, operating gates according to the manufacturer’s manual, and replacing damaged modular sections with original manufacturer-supplied components. The contractor must provide all required labor, equipment, materials, and stated response times. When requested, the contractor must also install and maintain traffic control in accordance with the current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, including for work performed during nights, weekends, and other off-peak hours. Bidders must price every line item for Districts 4, 8, and 11 and provide a specific response time. The resulting master agreement has an initial period through October 31, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal options.
