Description
Statistics Canada is seeking transportation services for two sets of temporary examination centres, each consisting of two modified 53-foot trailers. The contractor must provide air-ride-equipped tractors, qualified drivers, logistics coordination, route planning, secure gated storage with monitored or accessible camera coverage, trailer positioning and shunting, diesel-fuel services, and related maintenance and Ontario Ministry of Transportation inspections. The trailers will move between cities across Canada, with exact site addresses provided before each haul. The solicitation requires at least two years of relevant Canadian transportation and logistics experience, a current valid provincial or territorial Safety Fitness Certificate, and evidence that the carrier's safety rating is not unsatisfactory. Subcontracting is permitted subject to advance identification and a two-level limit. Offers will be evaluated on mandatory technical compliance and lowest evaluated price using hauling, storage, and shunting rates. The contract period is January 1 through May 31, 2027.
