The County of Erie is soliciting bids for General Construction/Maintenance Services for work at all County of Erie Parks locations. This includes services for structures such as reservable shelters and buildings, restrooms, maintenance and storage buildings, and site work. The contract will be effective from March 1, 2025, through February 28, 2028. The scope of work is estimated at an aggregate amount of $2,000,000.00 over the contract term. The successful bidder will be required to provide a wide range of services including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, siding, concrete, masonry, drywall, painting, overhead doors, lighting, doors, windows, gutters, tile work, and site work. Vendors must have a minimum of five years of business experience and both building and site construction experience. Invoices must include a breakdown by trade of labor hours and all supplier invoices, and may be subject to a County audit. Projects using construction contingency require Parks approval prior to work commencement. Additional forms, including those for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), NYS Prevailing Wage, and Equal Pay Certification, must be completed and submitted with invoices. Weekly progress reports are required, and the final invoice must be marked FINAL. Upon contact, the successful bidder must be able to meet at the work site within five business days to discuss the scope of work, and provide a formal written estimate within ten business days. Work must commence within ten business days of receiving a Purchase Order. The general contractor must self-perform 50% of each project and provide daily T&M sheets. Overhead and profit for subcontractor charges will be half (50%) of the General Contractor's overhead and profit.
