Description
The Town of Cicero is soliciting bids for the "2026 Water Main Replacement - Phase 2" project. This project involves the construction of approximately 1365 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, including pressure connections, valve vaults, pavement patching, and all related appurtenant construction. Bidders must be qualified contractors with proven experience in similar work, and they will be required to submit a "Statement of Experience" upon request. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, considering conformity with the terms and conditions of the proposal and contract documents. The Town reserves the right to determine responsibility at the time of award and to reject any or all proposals. Plans and proposal forms are available for download only from QuestCDN via the Novotny Engineering website (http://novotnyengineering.com) for a non-refundable charge of $40.00. Bidders must contact Novotny Engineering at 630-887-8640 to obtain the QuestCDN password, as proposal forms are non-transferable. Only proposals obtained through Novotny Engineering will be accepted. The project also requires adherence to the Town of Cicero Code of Ordinances, Section 2-870, regarding Local, Minority-Owned, and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement. Prevailing wages must be paid in accordance with all applicable laws.
