Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair services for nineteen (19) diesel/unleaded storage tanks located throughout the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital campus. This includes sixteen (16) Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and three (3) Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST). The contractor will be responsible for reviewing historical tank performance, maintaining tank records, coordinating compliance and permitting efforts, evaluating maintenance and repair options, inspecting tanks for compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and providing formalized reports with recommendations. The services are required during normal work hours (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday) and must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including those from OSHA, EPA, VA, and the Illinois State Fire Marshal. The contract period includes a base period and four option periods, totaling five years.
