Description
Imperial Community College District is soliciting a general construction contractor to renovate existing roads and parking lots at Imperial Valley College. The scope includes removal and replacement of asphalt and concrete paving, regrading and placement of Class II aggregate base, asphalt grinding and overlay, crack sealing, asphalt seal coating, concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, accessible parking improvements, pavement markings, and related site work. Bidders must hold a California Class A or Class B contractor's license, be registered as public works contractors with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and be prequalified. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. The bid must include a 10% bid bond or cashier's/certified check, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Prevailing-wage and labor-compliance requirements apply, and the successful bidder and subcontractors must participate in the District's owner-controlled insurance program.
