Description
Santa Ana Unified School District seeks a qualified contractor to maintain 74 elevators and 35 active wheelchair/platform lifts at district schools, administrative offices, and other facilities. Work includes monthly full elevator maintenance, semiannual lift preventive maintenance, covered routine repairs, annual Category 1 testing, separately authorized Category 3 and Category 5 testing, inspection support, electronic reporting, and 24/7 emergency and entrapment response. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, tools, diagnostic equipment, routine replacement parts, and required service documentation, and must hold an active California C-11 Elevator Contractor license and Certified Qualified Conveyance Company certification. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two one-year renewal options. Bidders must submit pricing for the listed equipment and testing and repair scenarios. A bid security of at least 10% of the Total Evaluated Bid is required; the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the first-year Total Evaluated Bid. The solicitation requires at least three references for similar services at comparable scale. Work is subject to prevailing-wage and public-works requirements, and subcontracting requires prior written district approval.
