Description
New Brunswick Power is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive snow removal and ice control services for the Grand Falls District Office Complex. The scope includes plowing and removing snow from parking lots, loading and dock areas, garage and bay doors, ramps, walkways, sidewalks, entrances, exits, steps, landings, and access points for outdoor generators and ground-level HVAC equipment. The contractor must apply salt, sand, or approved ice-melt products as needed, use concrete-friendly ice melt where applicable, haul snow off the property to an approved disposal location within 24 hours, and include all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, hauling, disposal, travel, mobilization, and emergency callouts in the pricing. Snow must generally be cleared and safe for use by 7:00 a.m. after a snowfall event, with obstructed areas completed no later than 10:00 a.m. The contractor must provide 24-hour emergency response and respond to callouts within one hour. The initial contract covers two six-month winter seasons, from October 17, 2026, through April 17, 2027, and October 17, 2027, through April 17, 2028, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual written agreement. The submission requires the Bid Submission Form and pricing; insurance and WorkSafeNB documentation are required only before award, and the Contractor Qualification Questionnaire is required before award.
