Description
The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting construction services for approximately 4.64 miles of US Route 1 in Frenchville and Fort Kent. The work includes reconstruction of the existing roadway and shoulders, horizontal and vertical geometric improvements, roadside and closed drainage improvements, driveway and cross culvert replacement, and related roadway excavation and paving. The project also includes a 72-inch culvert replacement, a precast concrete block gravity retaining wall, slope stabilization with plain or heavy riprap and erosion-control geotextile, drainage structures and underdrains, and potential bedrock removal and blasting. The plans identify a completion date of October 31, 2028.
