Description
Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is soliciting a single lump-sum bid for the East Tower Roof Replacement, a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Project. The work includes removing the existing modified bitumen recover roof and underlying built-up roofing to the structural concrete deck, installing a new modified bitumen roofing assembly with tapered insulation, cover board, flashings, edge metal, penetrations, terminations, and waterproofing components, and completing related resiliency improvements for an essential healthcare facility designed for 185-mph ultimate wind speed. The scope also includes modifying rooftop curbs and access thresholds; elevating and reconnecting seven rooftop condensing/compressor units and one exhaust hood; providing wind-rated equipment supports and galvanized steel pipe stanchions; modifying aluminum access stair supports; coating exterior penthouse CMU walls; weatherizing selected doors; and performing associated structural, mechanical, electrical, hoisting, scaffolding, temporary protection, access, sequencing, and coordination work. Construction will occur while portions of the hospital remain occupied, requiring strict compliance with hospital safety and operational-continuity requirements. A Certificate of Responsibility is required, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds.
