Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks wheelchair-van transportation for beneficiaries of the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide scheduled, return, same-day, and will-call trips between designated pickup points and medical facilities, including VA campuses, community-based outpatient clinics, community-care facilities, and other designated medical centers. Service is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including federal holidays. The contractor must furnish qualified drivers and suitable accessible vehicles, provide dispatch and vehicle communications, ensure safe patient handling and timely arrivals, and use the VetRide system to receive, manage, and document trips. This is a five-year fixed-price IDIQ contract with five annual pricing periods and a possible six-month extension under FAR 52.217-8. The solicitation is set aside for eligible SDVOSBs and includes a 50% limitation on subcontracting for services. Offers must include a signed SF 1449, amendment acknowledgments, a PDF proposal, the completed Section B.3 price schedule, an experience narrative addressing the specified information for referenced contracts, and the completed limitations-on-subcontracting certificate. A certificate of insurance is required before award.
