The Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation intends to award a sole-source contract to the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation to fulfill Historic Preservation Fund State Historic Preservation Office objectives. The approximately $80,000, federally funded agreement covers a Youth Heritage Project for high-school students; education and outreach activities; up to three virtual workshops; digital content; technical assistance; planning support for the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area; a National Register nomination for one historic vessel; a coastal-flooding adaptation resource guide; and monitoring of 14 historic properties rehabilitated with Historic Preservation Fund grants. The period of performance is November 2, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The posting requests capability statements from historic-preservation nonprofits or businesses describing their ability to perform the required statewide programs, heritage-area planning, technical assistance, professional qualifications, leadership, and stakeholder relationships. The notice identifies the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation as the intended sole-source contractor.
