Description
The Bureau of Land Management is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract to rehabilitate the Tioga Pedestrian Bridge over the North Umpqua River in Roseburg, Oregon. Work includes surface preparation and preservative treatment of timber components, including glulam girders, stringers, deck panels, curbs, railings, posts, bracing, and related members. Public-contact timber must receive a linseed oil and pine-tar treatment, while non-public-contact timber must receive copper naphthenate preservative. The contractor must provide full containment and environmental protection to prevent debris, coatings, runoff, and hazardous materials from entering the waterway or surrounding resources. The scope also includes worker protection, spill prevention and response, waste characterization and disposal, pedestrian and traffic closures, barricades and signage, cleanup, and required technical submittals such as coating, containment, waste-disposal, environmental, safety, traffic-control, and work-progress plans. The contract is for one firm-fixed-price construction requirement, with a stated period of performance from October 22, 2026, through January 5, 2027.
