Description
Renewable Water Resources is soliciting lump-sum bids for construction of the Georges Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility Equalization Basin Upgrades, Division I. The work includes installing a concrete liner in an existing 6-million-gallon flow equalization basin; installing basin fill and drain piping, an 18-inch diversion force main, control valves, eight 15-horsepower floating mixers, associated electrical power, instrumentation and controls, an electrical panel canopy, access improvements, fencing, grading, and erosion-control measures. Division II force-main and control-valve work is being performed under a separate contract. The project has a 420-calendar-day substantial-completion period and a 450-calendar-day final-completion period measured from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must hold the South Carolina contractor license designation WP, submit the required bid forms and qualifications information, list major subcontractors and suppliers, and provide a 5% bid bond for bids exceeding $100,000. The successful contractor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and specified insurance. The project is funded in whole or in part through Community Project Funding administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to applicable federal contracting requirements, but the documents state that Davis-Bacon and Build America, Buy America requirements do not apply.
