Description
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University is seeking proposals from qualified beverage suppliers to establish an exclusive university beverage partnership. The scope includes supplying, distributing, selling, dispensing, advertising, displaying, representing, and promoting carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, bottled water, specialty beverages, sports drinks, and other emerging beverage categories across the main campus in Blacksburg, including dining centers, vending locations, the Inn at Virginia Tech, and athletics-related events. The supplier will receive comprehensive, potentially exclusive rights, with product categories and exclusions subject to negotiation. The supplier must provide equipment, services, pricing guarantees, financial support, product donations, marketing and advertising funds, sponsorship opportunities, technology support, and comprehensive marketing and operations plans. Proposals may also include innovation funds, student programs, sustainability initiatives, scholarships, athletics and event activations, digital engagement, and naming-rights opportunities. Virginia Tech may award multiple contracts, and finalists may be invited to participate in site visits, facility tours, oral presentations, interviews, and negotiations. The contract term is ten years or as negotiated, and proposals must include company qualifications, products and services, exclusivity requests, vending and dispensing solutions, sponsorship and financial commitments, implementation plans, and SWaM participation information.
