Description
The National Science Foundation is soliciting research proposals through the Solar, Heliospheric, and Interplanetary Environment program. The program supports research that improves understanding and predictive capabilities concerning magnetic fields and particles produced by the Sun or accelerated in interplanetary space, including how these fields and particles are transported to Earth through the inner heliosphere. The opportunity is unrestricted and provides discretionary grant funding. Approximately 15 awards are expected, with estimated total program funding of $3,000,000 and individual awards ranging from $120,000 to $200,000. No cost sharing or matching is required.
