Description
The Department of Water Supply seeks 18 portable LEO satellite terminal kits, one ruggedized terminal kit, and pooled priority satellite data service for all 19 terminals. The service must provide a shared data allocation, service-line activation and administration, usage monitoring and alerts, and technical support. The specified equipment and service are intended to support voice, messaging, and general internet access where terrestrial cellular coverage is degraded or unavailable. Equivalent products and providers may be proposed subject to the stated requirements; proposed brand substitutions require advance written approval through an addendum. The bidder must submit product data, a paragraph-by-paragraph compliance statement, a written service description and terms, mounting data for the ruggedized kit, and specified informational submittals, including regulatory and safety evidence, provider qualifications, security documentation, and sample reports. The official proposal form must also be completed, signed, and uploaded. The contract period runs from the Notice to Proceed through June 30, 2028; the service term must be at least 12 months and is renewable at the Department’s option.
