Description
NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center is conducting market research for engineering team support to maintain mission-critical Ka-band communications services for users of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System. The anticipated work includes systems engineering, integration, verification, testing, and operations, across materials and mechanisms; propulsion and thermal control; avionics, power, and batteries; aerospace flight software and guidance, navigation, and control; general software and infrastructure; hardware qualification and functional testing; and radio-frequency communications. The anticipated period of performance is two years, with fewer than ten work-year equivalents, and work is expected to be performed on-site. This is a sources-sought notice, not a solicitation for proposals. Respondents are asked to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages, in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or PDF, using at least 12-point font. It should describe company and business-size information, GSA Multiple Award Schedule registration and relevant contract vehicle details, relevant engineering and TDRS Ka-band experience, ability to provide personnel with TS/SCI clearances, and verified ITAR compliance. NASA also requests feedback on small-business participation goals, barriers to participation, and ways to increase participation.
