Description
The Canadian Space Agency is soliciting competitive proposals for the development of one to three priority space technologies under its Space Technology Development Program. The technologies are: a lightweight, athermal reflecting telescope adaptable to CubeSats; readout electronics for large mosaic focal-plane arrays used by low-light astronomical imagers; and technologies for a terrestrial snow-mass mission, including dual-frequency Ku-band radar transmit-receive modules. Each technology will be evaluated and potentially awarded separately. The work combines research and development, systems and subsystem design, technology trade studies, modeling and analysis, prototype or breadboard development, fabrication, laboratory characterization, environmental testing, technical reporting, and technology-readiness roadmaps. Maximum funding is CAD 1,000,000 per contract for each of the first two technologies and CAD 2,000,000 for the snow-mass mission technology. The anticipated contract durations are 16 months for the telescope, 24 months for the focal-plane readout electronics, and 12 months for the snow-mass mission technology. Proposals must include technical and financial offers, the Offer Submission Form, the Offeror Declaration Form, and applicable Indigenous Participation Plan information; the solicitation also requires Canadian-supplier eligibility and security compliance, including a Designated Organization Screening and Protected B safeguarding capability for the resulting contract.
