Description
The Town of Eastford is soliciting sealed bids for the replacement of Bridge No. 04645, carrying Ashford Road over Bigelow Brook in Eastford, Connecticut, under Federal Project F.A.P. No. 6038 (010) and State Project No. 0038-0085. The contractor must be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation for Group No. 9 (Intermediate Bridges) work and provide a current CTDOT CON-16 sworn statement on file, along with the required prequalification approval letter. The bid package must include the Bid Proposal Form, Schedule of Prices, Bid Bond, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and CTDOT prequalification approval letter. A surety bond of at least 30% of the bid amount is required; certified checks are not accepted. Contractors or subcontractors performing surface preparation or coating application must be certified by the Steel Structures Painting Council. The contract has a 0% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal.
