Description
The Town of Middleborough is conducting the first phase of a two-phase procurement to prequalify general contractors and specified filed-sub-bid subcontractors for construction of an approximately 13,500-square-foot drinking water treatment facility. The facility will treat iron, manganese, and PFAS and will include plumbing, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, solar, fire protection, and administrative spaces. The project also includes upgrades to five existing groundwater well pump stations, including new pumps, piping, valves, and instrumentation. The estimated construction cost is $45,700,000, and the construction period is 915 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Qualified respondents will later be invited to bid; the project is subject to Build America Buy America requirements. General contractor certification is required in the sewage and water treatment plants category, and sub-bid categories include masonry, ironwork, waterproofing, roofing, windows, painting, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
