Description
The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting a sources-sought market survey for a firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/requirements-type contract to provide Reliability and Probability Training (FAA28335) for Flight Standards and Aircraft Certification airworthiness inspectors and engineers. The estimated course length is approximately 72 hours, with class sizes limited to 12 students. The training must address probability laws and distributions, reliability analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, fault-tree analysis, functional hazard analysis, safety assessments, and related aircraft airworthiness applications. The preferred delivery method is instructor-led training in a U.S. brick-and-mortar training facility, preferably within 25 miles of a major airport served by a major U.S. air carrier. The contractor must provide qualified instructors with a relevant degree, at least five years of industry experience, and at least three years of instructor experience. The response must include a capability statement describing the firm's training and relevant past performance, the geographic area where training would be provided, and the proposed approach. An SBA 8(a) certification letter is required only if applicable. This is an informational market survey, not a request for proposals or an offer for award.
