Description
Newport Hospital & Health Services is seeking qualifications from design-builders for a progressive design-build project involving partial demolition of the original hospital wing and construction of an approximately 36,000-square-foot, three-story replacement facility. The completed facility is expected to provide expanded imaging, surgical, and laboratory services; a new MRI suite; outpatient infusion space; and an updated entrance and admitting area. The design-builder will provide scheduling, phasing and logistics, coordination with design consultants, design-budget management and estimating, environmental and hazardous-material investigation coordination, construction planning and best practices, materials and building-systems assistance, subcontractor and supplier bidding, and construction services. Design is anticipated to begin in December 2026, construction in April 2027, and completion in June 2029.
