Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is conducting market research for recurring snow and ice removal services at its main and annex facilities. The anticipated scope covers approximately 102,700 square feet of sidewalks, steps, driveways, parking areas, entrances, emergency exits, crosswalks, and wheelchair ramps. Services include snow plowing and removal, ice treatment, repeated passes during continuing snowfall, and hauling snow off the premises when accumulations cannot be pushed aside. The contractor must furnish personnel, equipment, vehicles, tools, supplies, supervision, and approved treatment materials, including heavy-duty equipment capable of handling major snowfalls. The draft Performance Work Statement describes a one-year base period with four one-year option periods, seasonal operations from November 20 through March 31, and response requirements following government authorization. This is an RFI for market research rather than an offer opportunity; respondents are asked to provide company and capability information, a non-binding rough-order-of-magnitude estimate, recommendations on fixed-price contract structure and pricing, competition concerns, small-business subcontracting compliance information, and any applicable GSA contract vehicles. Responses are limited to three pages excluding a cover page.
