Description
The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife is soliciting sealed general bids for installation of two owner-supplied 60 kW propane standby generators and two owner-supplied automatic transfer switches. The work includes construction of an approximately 515-square-foot concrete generator pad with retaining walls, a wood-frame pavilion-style canopy, electrical equipment and distribution upgrades, propane piping coordination and connections, trenching and backfill, site grading, gravel access improvements, fencing, erosion controls, and demolition of existing generators, pads, wiring, and related equipment. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, commissioning, and coordination required for a complete operating installation. The project is a public works construction contract with Massachusetts prevailing-wage requirements. A current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility in the Electrical category and a DCAMM Update Statement are required with the bid. The estimated project value is $344,700, excluding the owner-procured generators and automatic transfer switches. The contract documents require a 5 percent bid deposit, MBE/WBE participation goals of 4.2 percent MBE and 8.8 percent WBE, and completion by June 30, 2027.
