Description
This Sources Sought/RFI seeks qualified suppliers capable of turnkey fabrication and assembly of 225 units each of two Gen-2 BPM electronic assemblies: LT-EL-SR-EU-BPM-0614-01 Rev. B (ZuDFE) and LT-EL-SR-EU-BPM-0614-11 Rev. B (ZuAFE). The supplier must provide all personnel, labor, equipment, materials, and supplies, while Brookhaven will provide fabrication and assembly documentation and the Xilinx FPGA (U9). The supplier must produce and submit five first-article units of each assembly for acceptance before completing the balance of the order. The RFI requests information about in-house capabilities for inline solder paste inspection, BGA pick-and-place inspection, vapor-phase vacuum or nitrogen convection reflow, and inline 3-D automated optical inspection. Respondents should identify equipment and processes, inspection and traceability data, applicable IPC standards, in-house versus subcontracted work, estimated lead times, budgetary pricing, and any exceptions to the commercial terms and conditions. The notice is expressly an RFI/Sources Sought request, not a solicitation for proposals, and project specifications and drawings must be obtained from the contracting specialist because of file size.
