Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified general contractors for construction of a new plaza and statue base and installation of the Athena statue. The scope includes site preparation, hardscape, landscaping, foundation work, and site lighting. General contractors must prequalify before bidding or performing work; prequalification submissions are due September 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM local time. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held September 8, 2026, and bids are due September 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. The proposed budget is $400,000.
