Description
The Army is conducting market research to identify domestic manufacturers and suppliers capable of providing burial caskets and Berry Amendment-compliant casket liners and interior upholstery fabrics. Textile components must be wholly produced in the United States. The requested market information will help assess domestic sources ahead of the expiration of the Army’s current casket-liner non-availability determination in November 2029; this notice is for market research and is not a solicitation for a contract award. The attached questionnaire asks respondents about their role in the supply chain, materials and country of origin, manufacturing processes, domestic sourcing, production capabilities, minimum order quantities, lead times, and estimated fabric costs. It also requests relevant product data sheets or specifications when available. The referenced casket categories include metal and hardwood interment/entombment caskets and hardwood cremation caskets, with specified neutral-color crepe, satin, or similar liner fabrics.
