Description
The Village of Summit is soliciting bids for the turnkey fabrication, shipment, delivery, offloading, and permanent installation of three granite cemetery columbaria: one 72-niche hexagonal unit and two 40-niche bookcase units. The work includes niche dividers and closure panels, decorative elements, caps and bases, anchors, sealants, engineering, shop drawings, finish samples, lifting equipment, certified operators, site protection, cleaning, and restoration. Each unit must include additional niche shutters equal to 10 percent of its specified niche count, rounded up. The contractor must provide all labor and materials, coordinate site access and delivery, protect existing gravesites and cemetery facilities, and install the units on foundations coordinated by the cemetery; foundation construction is excluded unless expressly identified in the bid documents. Bidders must submit the provided bid forms, a minimum of five references from similar projects or contracts, bid security equal to 5 percent of the bid, and a five-year workmanship warranty and 50-year material warranty with the bid proposal. The project must be completed by November 30, 2027, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for delay.
