Description
Midland Independent School District is soliciting a firm-fixed-price, one-time turnkey solution for walk-in cooler and freezer equipment at Burnet, Bowie, Pease, DeZavala, and Sam Houston schools. The scope includes furnishing specified or approved-equal equipment, shelving, refrigeration systems, doors, lighting, accessories, and related components; removing and disposing of existing walk-in units; delivering and staging new equipment; and completing construction, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, pad, fabrication, utility, and mechanical work necessary for fully operational installations. Addendum No. 1 removes the Indoor Cooler for Pease line item from the solicitation; that item will be bid later. Installation must be performed by a factory-authorized installer or certified refrigeration specialist, coordinated with the District and applicable school personnel, and completed no later than January 2027 unless an exception is approved. Vendors must attend one of the two mandatory site visits before submitting a proposal. Proposals must include the requested company experience, project approach, references, subcontractor/supplier information, required forms and certifications, and line-item pricing through the electronic bidding system.
