Description
Sarasota County is soliciting bids for traffic control devices, specifically Category 4 (Aluminum Sign Blanks) and Category 7 (MUTCD Sign Fabrication). The county anticipates an initial contract term of one year. Products can be delivered to the county or picked up by the county from the contractor's location within a 60-mile radius of Sarasota, Florida. Category 4 involves standard aluminum sign blanks meeting Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications, fabricated from specific aluminum alloys and treated for flatness and durability. Category 7 requires finished MUTCD road signs constructed with specified materials, including reflective sheeting, and meeting FDOT standards. Fabrication must use approved materials and processes, with a minimum ten-year warranty on the traffic control sign film. Deliveries are expected within thirty calendar days of a Purchase Order, FOB Destination. Contractors must provide a signed statement of compliance with each delivery. The county reserves the right to reject non-compliant shipments. The county may also elect to pick up products from the contractor's location.
