The Department of the Air Force, through Air Force Materiel Command and the Air Force Research Laboratory's Rome Research Site, is seeking white papers under an open, two-step Advanced Research Announcement to develop cyber operations prototypes for transition into operational Department of Defense platforms. Initial submissions are limited to white papers; formal proposals will be accepted only by invitation. The announcement may result in multiple procurement contracts or other transaction awards, including prototype agreements and potential follow-on production awards. Total estimated funding is approximately $950 million. Individual awards normally will not exceed 60 months and are generally expected to range from $10 million to $50 million, with potential awards up to $99.98 million. The announcement remains open through July 10, 2030, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time, and suggested submission dates are provided for fiscal years 2026 through 2030. Offerors must follow the specified preparation and submission instructions, including applicable supply-chain-security requirements for FAR-based awards.
