Description
The Vermilion Parish School System is soliciting sealed bids for a single-lump-sum contract covering all labor, materials, and equipment required to complete restroom additions at Meaux Elementary School. The project is governed by the project drawings and bid documents, and bidders must hold the required Louisiana contractor licensing classification. Bids of $50,000 or more must include the contractor's license number on the sealed envelope. A bid security equal to 5% of the base bid plus all alternates is required. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds. If awarded, the contractor must execute the contract using AIA Document A101 and complete the work within 150 calendar days; liquidated damages are $375 per day. Qualified small, minority-owned, women-owned, and labor-surplus-area firms are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or subcontractors.
